  • About Us

Compassionate Communication Oklahoma is a community of individuals who seek to live, learn and teach compassionate communication, peacemaking and conflict resolution skills.

    Our mission is:

“to nurture the growing use of
    Compassionate (Nonviolent) Communication
    in Oklahoma”

We have individuals ranging from volunteers to trainers who offer introductory talks, workshops, classes, practice groups, etc. to fit the needs of individuals or groups, from Sunday School classes to start-up NVC practice groups to Church, Non-Profit, or Corporate Board trainings.

The practice of compassionate communication is an essential process of creating peace within ourselves, interpersonally, and within organizations. We would like there to be a critical mass of people using Compassionate Communication language so all people will get their needs met and resolve their conflicts peacefully.

    We subscribe to the:

Vision and Mission of the Center for Nonviolent Communication

Vision: The Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) is a global organization whose vision is a world where all people are getting their needs met and resolving their conflicts peacefully. In this vision, people are using Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to create and participate in networks of worldwide life-serving systems in economics, education, justice, healthcare, and peace-keeping.

Mission: Our mission is to contribute to this vision by facilitating the creation of life-serving systems within ourselves, interpersonally, and within organizations. We do this by living and teaching Nonviolent Communication.
